About

I’m Corin Garnett-Law and I would like to welcome you to Ildebrande Design!

Much has changed over the past 25 years since I first developed an interest in website design and development, indeed when I first began coding websites using a basic text editor we didn’t have social media websites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and our websites were far more basic than some seen today. Fast forward to today, tools like WordPress allow us to develop websites at a far quicker pace than was once possible, using themes packages to construct our own look and feel, we need only design that look and feel rather than consider the underlying HTML code. The plethora of plug-ins available also allows us to easily snap-in additional functionality quickly, or swap it out for an alternate, is it little wonder WordPress accounts for over 34 per cent of all websites worldwide nowadays.

Another passion of mine, kindled in the early 2000s, is print design. Back then I undertook training in Adobe’s InDesign 2 application, which coupled with my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop allowed me to gradually start developing print publications at work. Gradually I developed my skills in Adobe Illustrator (how much I love this app!), these apps combined have allowed me over the past 17 years to develop a wide array of publications, including prospectuses, flyers, banners, business cards, the list goes on.

Creatively, I love my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil 2. Combine this with the ProCreate app, I love to search for images of artworks on the web and attempt to replicate, is a great source of stress relief. As well, landscape photography, when I remember to crack out the Canon 6D and head out to way yonder, though I do prefer to travel overseas capture all that exists.
